Defendant Officer Cardona called Plaintiff 1 to come down to the 13th precinct and when she refused, he came to her residence later that day and banged on the door. Plaintiff called 911 concerned about who it was and another squad car arrived and confirmed Cardona was a police officer, apologized to the family, and left. Then Det. Cardona took Plaintiffs (a family) down to the 13th Precinct, separated them, and charged Plaintiff 2 with 5 charges that did not allow him to see his family. Charges were eventually dismissed.
