Jacques v. City of New York et al
The plaintiff was in his vehicle in the McDonald's parking lot when the defendant officers approached and ordered the plaintiff and his friend out of the vehicle. The defendant officers used excessive force and arrested the plaintiff and took him to the 71st Precinct. After a few hours, the officer placed a summons in the plaintiff's wallet and told him he could leave the Precinct. The summons was for idling his vehicle at the scene of the arrest. The charge was later dismissed.
