Jackson v. City of New York et al
On December 6, 2013 , at 11:50 pm, plaintiff was near the intersection of Utica Avenue and Sterling Place in Brooklyn NY. Plaintiff was not committing any crime nor violating any laws. Defendant officers detained plaintiff and ordered her to place her hands on a car in order to search her. Plaintiff complied with that order, defendants searched plaintiff by patting above her clothes and inside her pockets. Defendants demanded plaintiff's I.D , she tried to produce her I.D Defendants threw plaintiff's I.D. to the ground and arrested her. Plaintiff did not resist arrest. Plaintiff was taken to the precinct and then to Kings County Criminal Court. Plaintiff was charged with littering, obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest. All charges were later dismissed.
