RICHBURG v. City of New York et al.
Plaintiff was leaving a friend's house when defendant officers conducted a raid. As per defendant officers' demands, the Plaintiff laid down on the ground, and officers proceed to assault him with shields and asps. Plaintiff was then handcuffed and transported to the 75th Precinct. During the ride, plaintiff lost consciousness, defecated, and urinated on himself. When he was sent to Central Booking, he waited for three days until he was hospitalized. He was refused a change of clothes. Instead, defendant officers mocked him during this time. When he returned to Central Booking, he was charged with obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and assault in the 3rd degree. These charges were later dismissed.
